The Board of the Perry House Foundation, Inc. is indebted to the members of the Homestead Society who have given their time and significant resources in support of Stratford’s historic Perry House and Visitors’ Center. These companies and individuals have shown a strong commitment to the idea and promise of a new community-based facility that will serve the needs of the Stratford area through innovative programs and special activities. We call our Patrons, “Homesteaders,” not so much because the Perry House was known as the Perry Homestead, although it was, but because in early times, the term “homesteader” was used to describe those who put down roots and could be counted on to understand the need of all individuals to be a part of the larger community.
